The Dallas Mavericks are scheduled to take on the Sacramento Kings on Monday. Unfortunately, the club will have to play this matchup without Kyrie Irving, as the star guard was officially ruled out.

Reports indicate that the 34-year-old guard will not play as he's currently managing an injured left knee, according to NBA insider Marc Stein. Irving quickly went from being ruled questionable to doubtful before being ruled out.

“Dallas' Kyrie Irving has now been officially ruled out for tonight's game against Sacramento,” Stein reported.

This will be Irving's second missed game to start the 2026-27 campaign. The last contest he participated in was the Mavericks' 116-111 win over the Houston Rockets in the group stage of the NBA Cup. But after several days off, the 15-year veteran needs some extra time to nurse his left knee.
