The Green Bay Packers have started to turn things around in recent weeks, currently sitting at 4-2 after Sunday night's home win over the Dallas Cowboys. The Packers have done this without arguably their best player, pass rusher Micah Parsons, who is still out after suffering a torn ACL toward the end of last season.

Now, the team has gotten a rough update on Parsons' recovery process as the season continues.

“Micah Parsons will not practice this week, per HC Matt LaFleur,” reported NFL insider Adam Schefter of ESPN on X, formerly Twitter.

It's certainly not the update that Packers fans were hoping for as the team looks to get its blockbuster 2025 trade acquisition back in the lineup.

The Packers stumbled out of the gates to a 1-2 start this year but have since bounced back, reeling off three straight wins, the last two of which have come in blowout fashion, to get back toward the top of the NFC North.

However, any legit chances the Packers have of competing for a deep playoff push this year rise and fall with the health of Parsons, who suffered the ACL injury in a late-season game against the Denver Broncos last year and has been out of the lineup since.

It remains to be seen if the Packers will be prompted to make additional trades to help bolster their defense as Parsons' recovery process drags on.

In any case, the Packers are next slated to hit the field next Sunday for a tough divisional road game vs the Detroit Lions.
