On Saturday evening, the LSU football program got back into the win column with a blowout 35-6 home win over the Texas A&M Aggies at Tiger Stadium. The Tigers dominated this one from the jump and fully shook off the bad taste of last week's tough road loss to the Ole Miss Rebels in head coach Lane Kiffin's return to Oxford.
Unfortunately, it wasn't all good news for LSU on Saturday, as star defender Whit Weeks and quarterback Sam Leavitt both suffered injury scares during the game.
After the game, Kiffin spoke on the Tigers' rough luck on the injury front so far this season.
“I have not been around this many significant injuries early in the year. It’s really unfortunate,” said Kiffin, per LSU Tigers on SI on X, formerly Twitter.
The publication also reported that Kiffin “mentioned Trey’Dez Green and Dashawn Spears being out, and gives no update on Whit Weeks.”

While LSU was certainly up to the challenge on Saturday night, thrashing a Texas A&M team that will likely fall out of the Top 25 rankings this week, the Tigers will certainly hope for some better luck in the injury department moving forward.
The good news is that LSU is now entering a soft portion of their schedule, with a game against McNeese State coming up on Saturday, followed by a clash against Kentucky.
The McNeese State game is set for Saturday at 7:45 pm ET at home.
