After a moment involving OG Anunoby at Media Day went viral, New York Knicks superfan Ben Stiller reiterated his belief in the star player.
Speaking to reporters at Media Day, Anunoby was told he has “one of the best poker faces in the NBA.” Chuckling, he responded, “I don't know what that means.”

He took to X, formerly Twitter, to respond to the moment, saying, “Again, [we're] so lucky to have him on our team.” Stiller isn't wrong, as Anunoby was crucial in the Knicks' championship run last season.
OG Anunoby's heroics on the way to the Knicks' championship
The case could be made that without Anunoby, the Knicks wouldn't have won a championship. He averaged over 20 points per game in three of the four playoff series.
He missed time during the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Philadelphia 76ers due to an injury. Luckily, he returned in time for the Eastern Conference Finals, averaging 16.3 points per game in the sweep.
In the NBA Finals, he had a memorable performance in Game 4. The Knicks were down by as much as 29 points, but thanks to Anunoby and Jalen Brunson, they came back and won.
They won the game thanks to a tip-in by Anunoby. He tipped a missed shot by Brunson through the net, giving the Knicks the lead in dramatic fashion. His heroics will never be forgotten. He finished Game 4 with 33 points, a series-high, and made seven three-pointers.
He is now heading into his third full season with the Knicks (they traded for him during the 2023-24 NBA season). Anunoby averaged 16.7 points per game during the 2025-26 regular season. This was a slight step back from his 18 points per game average a year earlier.
The Knicks open their season against the new-look 76ers. They swept them in the playoffs, but the Sixers added LeBron James and Jaylen Brown during the offseason.
