As he kicked off his seventh professional media day with the Philadelphia 76ers, guard Tyrese Maxey expressed his excitement about teaming up with NBA legend LeBron James. However, he humorously noted, via Adam Aaronson of The Philly Voice, that one unexpected drawback of the superstar's arrival was the overwhelming media attention that followed him: “I wanted Bron; I didn't want all of y'all.”

While Maxey joked about the media frenzy, LeBron James was busy setting the tone for the locker room by capturing the unique essence of his new teammates. During his press conference, he focused on a viral post shared by Oh No He Didn't on X, using a single descriptive word for each of his star teammates. He labeled Joel Embiid as a “Beast,” Jaylen Brown as “Motivated,” Tyrese Maxey as “Lightning,” VJ Edgecombe a “Star,” and referred to his own versatile role on the roster simply as a “Swiss Army knife.”

Lebron describing his teammates and his role with the 76ers:

LeBron's veteran leadership and appreciation for his new environment extend beyond the court. In an interview with ESPN, he confirmed that he will be shuttling between multiple residences in Philadelphia and New York during his time with the 76ers. This arrangement allows him to maintain his ties to the Big Apple, even after choosing to play in Philly instead of signing with the Knicks.

As opening night approaches, this revamped Philadelphia squad is ready to pursue a championship.
