The Florida Gators got boatraced by the Missouri Tigers on Saturday, suffering a 45-17 Week 5 loss. After what was a hot start to the season, this loss came off surprising to many. However, head coach Jon Sumrall is doing his best to keep things positive with a strong message to his players.
Sumrall informed his players that the outside noise is going to be loud throughout the coming week after losing to Missouri by 28 points, according to Zach Abolverdi of Gators Online. He also admitted that Florida clearly has things to improve moving forward, and claims that those issues have been hidden due to the first four wins of the campaign.
“There's going to be a lot of things that get called out (next week), and it's going to feel different,” Sumrall said… “If there's guys on this football team who don't own that, they won't be on this football team very long. We've got a lot of improvement to do. It's just been masked by winning games.”

However, he was completely bottled up, finishing the contest with 13 rushing yards off 12 attempts. It was easily his worst performance this season, and perhaps his career.
Florida didn't turn the ball over once, but was forced to punt eight times. Jon Sumrall and his coaching staff will have to go back to the drawing board and ensure a poor outing like this doesn't occur again.
The program will move on to Week 6 with a 4-1 record. Florida is scheduled to take on the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday, October 10.
