Houston Astros manager Joe Espada delivered a direct message after his team’s 6-3 loss to the Chicago White Sox in Game 1 of the American League Wild Card Series on Tuesday at Daikin Park.
The Astros fell behind early 3-0 after two innings and never fully recovered, despite a two-run homer from pinch-hitter Nelson Velazquez in the fifth. The Astros managed six hits while the White Sox collected 11 and added insurance in the seventh before closing out the series opener.
