New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn is facing growing pressure as the team's disappointing trajectory continues, but he remains adamant that concerns about his job security are not occupying his attention.

New York dropped to 2-6 after falling 38-33 to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 8 at MetLife Stadium. The defeat was made all the more stinging by the pronounced presence of Raiders loyalists throughout the stadium, turning an underwhelming afternoon into an even more vexing spectacle for the Jets.

Glenn's overall record with New York has now fallen to 5-20 since taking over, while he remains winless in eight matchups against AFC East opponents. With questions emerging about his future, Glenn addressed the situation during his Monday media availability.

“My job is improving this team,” he said. “That's the only thing that I think about.”

Glenn also identified third-down penalties and poor red-zone execution as major factors behind Sunday's loss. The Jets converted just two of its six red-zone opportunities, leaving the team unable to capitalize on several scoring chances.

Meanwhile, reports before the weekend suggested that owner Woody Johnson would likely wait until the regular season concludes in January before considering a coaching change. However, the latest defeat has added further pressure on Glenn.

New York has also been linked with former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, although it remains unclear whether he would consider returning to coaching next campaign.

For now, Glenn is expected to remain in charge when the Jets visit the Kansas City Chiefs on November 8.
