The Washington Wizards have had a solid start to the 2026-27 NBA season, currently sitting at 3-3 ahead of Monday's clash against the Orlando Magic. The Wizards have gotten some strong performances from rookie first overall draft pick AJ Dybantsa, who has come out of the gate well after missing the first few games due to an ankle injury.
Recently, Dybantsa was among the millions to dress up for Halloween, channeling Eddie Murphy's iconic character, Prince Akeem, from the 1980s classic, “Coming to America.”
The sharp look was outdone only by Dybansta's play on the floor, as the former BYU standout has put together some strong performances so far this year and is also already showing some veteran-like tendencies on the floor, including an ability to get to the free throw line with ease.
Meanwhile, the new-look Wizards, led by Trae Young and Anthony Davis, have now won three games before December for the first time in a couple of years, and while that might be more of an indictment of previous iterations of the team rather than a testament to this one, it's still clear that Washington has made some beneficial moves over the last year.
While some pundits are still puzzled by the long-term fit between Young, Dybantsa, and Davis, the Wizards still have three players capable of going off on any given night, and the team is already seeming to build some chemistry in the early going this season.
In any case, Monday night's game against the Magic is set to tip off at 7:00 pm ET from Orlando.
