The Jacksonville Jaguars got a big win against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 4, but it wasn't as easy as they thought it would be. It was a first half that was filled with penalties, and head coach Liam Coen didn't seem pleased with the way things were going. After the game, Coen was asked about the penalties, but he made sure to keep it short and simple so he wouldn't get fined.

“I’m not going to say anything to get fined. That was just mental. I’ve just never seen something quite that much in the first half of a football game,” Coen said via Action Sports Jax on X, formerly Twitter.

Liam Coen didn’t want to get fined commenting about penalties in the first half 🤣

One thing that Coen did have time to talk about after the game was Brian Thomas Jr., who only had two receptions for 17 yards, but also hauled in a touchdown. There have been talks about Thomas' lack of production to start the season, but Coen came to his player's defense.

“Liam Coen says that people are trying to create a negative narrative on Brian Thomas Jr. He had a great week and made a big play today w the TD,” Rick Ballou of 101xl wrote on X.

The biggest thing is that the Jaguars got the win, and now they're 3-1 on the season. Outside of the offense, the defense has played well.

The Jaguars' next matchup will be against the Philadelphia Eagles, who have struggled over the last two weeks. It could be another chance for the Jaguars to get in the win column again.
