While not an NBA player like Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards, social media sensation IShowSpeed is fast, and he believes he's faster than the four-time All-Star.
During the Believe That Awards, Speed got into a debate over who is faster with the NBA star. Edwards claimed that a basketball court isn't “long enough for me to reach my full speed,” to which the social media star said, “You just not fast at all, bro… You don't got it in you.”
Edwards clarified that on the court, he has to be “smart,” meaning he “can't be too fast” while ball handling. However, without a basketball in his hands, it's a whole different story.
Anthony Edwards and IShowSpeed debated who is faster:
Ant: "The basketball court is not long enough for me to reach my full speed."
Speed: "You just not fast at all bro… you don’t got it in you."

He promised he would “show” Speed someday, bringing up his upbringing. The social media star claimed he “grew up racing barefoot on concrete.” Someday, they will settle the debate.
Speed is a social media influencer best known for his livestreams. He has gone viral over the years, and he has crossed paths with star athletes like Edwards and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Article Continues BelowEdwards is heading into his seventh season in the NBA. The Timberwolves made it to the Western Conference Semifinals last year, losing to the San Antonio Spurs in six games.
He was a highly-touted prospect, and the T-Wolves selected him first overall in the 2020 NBA Draft out of Georgia. To date, he has made it to four All-Star teams (from 2023 to 2026), and he was named the MVP of the game in 2026. He was named to the All-Rookie First Team in 2021 and has since made two All-NBA Second Teams.
The Timberwolves added LaMelo Ball in the offseason. Ball was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets two picks after the Timberwolves picked Edwards in the NBA Draft. Ball and Josh Green (who was traded to the Utah Jazz the following month) were traded to the Timberwolves as part of a four-team trade.
