Patriots wide receiver A.J. Brown took part in practice for the second straight day on Thursday, but he’s not ready to make any predictions about whether he’ll be activated from injured reserve in time to face the Jets in Week 6.
Brown has missed the last four games after injuring his ankle in the season opener and said he feels “pretty good” after his first two days on the practice field. Brown added that his status for the game is “still up in the air” as head coach Mike Vrabel assesses his readiness.
“Obviously it’s going to be a Coach Vrabel decision, to see where I’m at and make the better decision for the long haul, not just for temporarily,” Brown said, via Mike Reiss of ESPN.com.
The Patriots will issue injury designations for the Jets game on Friday, but they will have until Saturday afternoon to activate Brown.
