The Philadelphia Eagles suffered a major blow to their offense on Sunday when Saquon Barkley exited in the first quarter of the Eagles’ Week 4 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams after pulling up on his right hamstring.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport gave a vague update on the running back’s injury during his appearance on the “Good Morning Football” show on Monday.
“Saquon Barkley left early in the game with a hamstring injury and was not able to return,” Rapoport said. “The severity of this injury will be determined by tests today at the outset. It does not seem to be overly serious, but we will see for Saquon how long he's going to be out and when he is able to return.”

Barkley suffered the injury with 11:34 remaining in the first quarter on just his second carry of the game. As he crossed the sideline out of bounds, he pulled up immediately and hopped on one foot. He took a knee while grabbing and hitting the back of his right hamstring to try to work it loose.
He walked off to the blue medical tent under his own power. The Eagles RB was evaluated for several minutes, and then headed back into the tunnel to the locker room before Philadelphia officially ruled him out for the rest of the game.
Barkley recorded two carries for eight yards before leaving. Tank Bigsby took over the running game for the rest of the afternoon. He charted 14 carries for 55 yards.
The Eagles hope to get Barkley back as they gear up for the Week 5 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
