The Cleveland Guardians' offense finally found some success on Tuesday after struggling through the first two games of the American League Division Series. Jo Adell had a huge hit early in the game, coming through with a bases-clearing triple to give Cleveland a 4-1 lead. According to Sarah Langs, the triple also represented a rare MLB postseason feat, and Adell could accomplish an ultra-rare feat if Cleveland forces Game 4.

“Jo Adell is the 16th player in history with a triple in consecutive games within a single postseason,” Langs reported. “Just one of the prior 15 did so in 3 straight: Chick Stahl in Games 5-7 of the first World Series in 1903.”

Adell could become the second player in MLB history to record a triple in three consecutive postseason games. He'd become the first player to do so since MLB's first World Series back in 1903.
