The Milwaukee Brewers would love to clinch a series win on Wednesday night. Sure, they hold a 2-1 lead and a loss in Game 4 would not end their season. Dropping two consecutive contests would be far from ideal, however. With that in mind, it comes as no surprise that Jacob Misiorowski could be available for Game 4 of the National League Division Series.

“(Misiorowski) could be (available),” Brewers manager Pat Murphy said before Game 4, via Adam McCalvy of MLB.com. “It won’t be ‘just because,' you know? We’ve got to be smart about it and look at the situation. But I think our pitching’s in good shape.”

Misiorowski started Game 1 and allowed two earned runs across four innings of work. He added six strikeouts. It was not his best outing of the year, but “The Miz” still gave his team a chance to win. Sure enough, Milwaukee earned a 3-2 victory.

The Brewers dropped Game 3 by a final score 4-3 in San Diego, but they still hold a 2-1 series lead as mentioned. They will do whatever it takes to win on Wednesday night. Milwaukee will not want to risk having to play a Game 5, even if it would be back in Milwaukee.

With that being said, the Brewers will need to be smart. If the Padres jump out to a large lead, saving Misiorowski for Game 5 would be their best decision. If the game on Wednesday night is close, though, it would not be surprising to see Misiorowski at least begin to throw in the bullpen.
