After saying goodbye to Cam Jurgens via trade and Lane Johnson to retirement, are the Philadelphia Eagles entering a midseason rebuild?
Dan Orlovsky seems to think so, as do plenty of fans online, but Howie Roseman firmly isn't in that camp, telling the football world on Wednesday that nothing has changed regarding the Eagles' goal of winning another Super Bowl now.
“I think nothing has changed in terms of our goals. We’re trying to win this year. I think from my perspective, just looking at what is the ultimate goal, which is to win the last game of the year and then have a run like we’ve had. Obviously, since Coach has been here we’ve made the playoffs five times and have been to two Super Bowls,” Roseman said via NBA Sports Philadelphia's Dave Zangaro.

I think just looking at our team, a lot of guys on long-term deals and being able to create some flexibility is a good situation for us financially and with the picks.”
Now granted, when one considers how poorly Jurgens played over the first four weeks of the 2026 NFL season, when coupled with the absolute monster package the Ravens gave up to acquire him, it makes sense why Roseman was willing to make a deal now, as it was quite literally an offer he couldn't refuse. But that won't stop the outside speculation, which is why Roseman coming out now and outright shutting down any rebuild talks is important, even if it won't stop chatter if the season continues to go sideways.
