The Los Angeles Chargers have had a poor start to the 2026 NFL season. Los Angeles has not won a game to this point in the year. And they have a huge AFC West division clash with the Denver Broncos coming up. Unfortunately, they will be without star offensive lineman Joe Alt for Sunday's contest.

“Chargers Pro Bowl OT Joe Alt is expected to miss this Sunday’s game against the Broncos with a neck injury, sources say. Alt continues to rehab the injury suffered last week at Seattle, and there are no plans for IR,” NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported on Wednesday.

Alt was a star in his rookie season with the Chargers. Unfortunately, he has struggled with injuries since his debut campaign. Last season, the Chargers star was limited to just six games. This year, he played in every game for Los Angeles before this injury.

Los Angeles is dealing with quite an injury crisis as things stand, as well. In addition to Alt, seven other players did not practice on Wednesday. Derwin James, Khalil Mack, and Rashawn Slater are among the players who didn't take the field on Wednesday.
