The Utah Jazz will not have the services of big man Jusuf Nurkic in the early goings of the 2026-27 NBA season, at least.

The veteran center is reportedly dealing with a lower-body injury that will keep him sidelined for several weeks, according to NBA insider Chris Haynes.

“NEWS: Utah Jazz center Jusuf Nurkić will be sidelined for at least 4 weeks after suffering a partial plantar plate tear of second toe in right foot, league sources tell me,” Haynes shared via a social media post on X, formerly Twitter, on Wednesday.
