Indianapolis Colts cornerback Sauce Gardner suffered a lower-body injury during the 26-20 Week 6 loss to the Tennessee Titans. Hours after firing Chris Ballard as general manager, the organization got an unfortunate update on Gardner.

Reports indicate that the 25-year-old is expected to miss some time after being deemed week-to-week with a mid-calf strain, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. While it is not an ideal situation, it is not believed that Gardner will miss the rest of the season and will eventually return to action.

“More Colts news: Pro Bowl CB Sauce Gardner, who was unable to finish Sunday's loss to the Titans, has a mild calf strain that makes him week-to-week, sources say after the MRI,” Rapoport reported. “Gardner is expected to miss some time, but not an extended period.”
