Tight end Colston Loveland and running back Kyle Monangai got mixed injury updates ahead of the Chicago Bears' Week 8 contest this weekend.

Loveland is going through the sophomore season of his NFL career with the Bears. He made his way up the ranks to become a full-time starter, elevating Chicago's offense en route to making the playoffs last season as a rookie.

Monangai is also halfway through Year 2 of his professional career with Chicago. He has made noise as a secondary rusher behind D'Andre Swift, showing an impressive skillset to be productive in an explosive offense.

Chicago provided a new injury report on Saturday, a day before the team's contest. Six players are on the list, including Loveland and Monangai. One update was positive for Loveland and the other was negative for Monangai. The standout tight end fully participated in practice on Saturday, being a full go for the game. Unfortunately, Monangai continues to be absent from practice due to thumb and toe injuries, missing out on the contest.

“Bears TE Colston Loveland has no injury designation for Monday night’s game; RB Kyle Monangai officially is out,” NFL insider Adam Schefter wrote.
