The Philadelphia 76ers will have star forward Jaylen Brown available for Saturday night's road matchup against the Charlotte Hornets despite ruling out LeBron James and Joel Embiid for the second half of their back-to-back.

Austin Krell of Vertical 76 reported Brown's availability on X, formerly known as Twitter, approximately one hour before tip-off.

“Jaylen Brown is AVAILABLE for Sixers-Hornets tonight,” Krell wrote. “Tacko Fall and Jabari Walker remain questionable.”

Brown's return provides Philadelphia (5-1) with a significant boost as the organization looks to extend its winning streak against Charlotte (3-3) following Friday night's 98-93 NBA Cup victory over the New York Knicks.

The 30-year-old was ruled out shortly before Friday's contest due to left patellar tendinopathy, forcing Philadelphia to navigate the matchup without one of its leading scorers.

Brown last appeared in Wednesday's 114-109 victory over the Indiana Pacers, finishing with 20 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block across 34 minutes.

His return comes as Philadelphia manages injuries to James and Embiid, who both played significant minutes against New York.

James will miss Saturday's contest due to low back and sciatica management, while Embiid remains sidelined because of right foot plantar fascia injury management.

With both stars unavailable, Brown figures to shoulder a larger offensive responsibility alongside Tyrese Maxey.

Philadelphia will look to improve to 6-1 when it faces Charlotte at 6 p.m. ET on NBA TV.
