While it's nearly impossible for the Chicago Bulls to replace Stacey King, they are doing their best.
On Thursday, the Bulls officially announced a rotating team of announcers to fill King's spot for five games. The team will include Kendall Gill, Robbie Hummel, Will Perdue, Bill Wennington, and Scott Williams.
All will work with the Chicago Sports Network. The team will still include play-by-play announcer Chuck Swirsky. Alyssa Bergamini will be hosting the pregame show. Meanwhile, the postgame show will feature Gill, Cam Smith, and K.C. Johnson.
The Chicago Sports Network will carry all five of the Bulls' preseason games and 80 regular-season games.
In June, King unexpectedly passed away at 59 due to cardiovascular disease and obesity. He was one of the most popular figures to come out of Chicago as a player and broadcaster.
As a player, he was with the Bulls from 1989 to 1994. He was there when the Bulls won their first three NBA championships as part of one of the greatest sports dynasties ever.

Years later, King became a Bulls broadcaster in 2006. His affable personality, charisma, and signature lines made him into a Chicago folk hero.
The Bulls will begin the preseason on Oct. 7 against the Phoenix Suns. Then, their regular season will kick off on Oct. 21 on the road against the Toronto Raptors. Their home opener is scheduled for Oct. 24 against the Washington Wizards.
On Feb.4, the Bulls will honor “Stacey King Night” against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
