As the Indiana Fever look to be a massive part of the WNBA playoff picture, the Caitlin Clark-led team looks to prove its doubters wrong and put a massive stamp on the league. With Clark and the Fever preparing for the playoffs, teammate Sophie Cunningham would express why she loves the postseason.

Speaking on the “No Hesitation Show,” Cunningham expressed her feelings on the playoffs, emphasizing how, because of her being a “very high IQ player,” she's a fan of the mental aspect of manipulating the opposing team on each side of the ball.

“I think that it shows the mental focus; it shows the details and where people are willing to shore up on and really adjust,” Cunningham said. “I think it shows your coaching staff kind of how good they are and the little changes that they make. Because it might not be anything massive, but it's the little inches in these games that truly matter.”

“I love the playoffs,” Cunningham continued. “I love that part of the game, I love the film breakdown and throwing different things at different teams, but I also love us seeing them on defense and what we can do to manipulate them on offense.”

With the Fever preparing to end the regular season with Thursday's game against the Minnesota Lynx, there's no denying that Cunningham is gearing up for the playoffs. Currently averaging eight points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game while shooting 46.8 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from three-point range, she goes into the changes the best teams make in the playoffs.

“You can't take a possession off,” Cunningham said. “You don't have time to just kind of throw the loosey-goosey pass or just kind of throw up some s*** because maybe you're open. Like our shot selection matters, and so I think it really boils down to the little details. But I think that's the really fun part.”

It remains to be seen how far Cunningham and Indiana go in the upcoming WNBA playoffs.
