One of the biggest plays of last Sunday’s Broncos win came from safety Talanoa Hufanga.
The Rams were up three with under five minutes to play when Hufanga snagged a pass by Matthew Stafford and returned it 66 yards for an interception. The teams would trade touchdowns from there and Hufanga’s second interception on the final snap of the game sealed a 30-26 Denver victory.
Hufanga also had five tackles and a sack during the game.
That performance earned Hufanga the AFC defensive player of the week award on Wednesday. Hufanga began his career with the 49ers and it’s the first time he’s taken weekly honors in either conference.
