In just under two weeks, the New York Knicks open their season against the Philadelphia 76ers, and NBC has announced the crew that will call the game, which superfan Ben Stiller reacted to.

He reacted to the news that Reggie Miller, Jamal Crawford, and Mike Tirico would be calling the Knicks' season opener, which will include the championship banner raise ceremony.

Stiller needed just one word for his reaction, writing, “Cool,” in response to the post on X, formerly Twitter. Regardless of who is calling the game, he seems excited for it. Plus, he will likely be at the Garden for it.

It's unknown whether Stiller will make it to Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, Oct. 20, for the Knicks' season opener. However, he is a lifelong fan of the team, and he regularly attends games when not filming a project, so more than likely, he will be there.

The Knicks and the 76ers just played in their first preseason game of the year. The Sixers pulled out the win behind Jaylen Brown's 22 points in his first game with the team.

We'll see if that is a sign of things to come. None of the Knicks' starters played more than 15 minutes in the preseason contest, and LeBron James sat out completely for the Sixers.

Heading into the 2026-27 season, the Knicks are hoping to defend their title and win back-to-back championships. Jalen Brunson led the franchise to its first championship in 53 years, beating the San Antonio Spurs in five games in the NBA Finals.

The 76ers have reloaded after being swept by the Knicks in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. James and Brown headline the new additions, and the roster includes a mix of young and veteran stars, including Joel Embiid, VJ Edgecombe, and Tyrese Maxey.
