During a promotional appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon during the release of The Devil Wears Prada 2, Anne Hathaway's enthusiasm for the Knicks became a topic of conversation on the internet. Hathaway has now made a shocking admission about the Knicks.

Often considered a lucky charm for the Knicks, it was her scene in The Devil Wears Prada 2, where Hathaway’s character chats with Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns at a Hamptons soiree. This began the unbeaten 13-game run for the Knicks, which eventually helped them secure the championship.

On Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, Hathaway appeared on The Tonight Show, where host Jimmy Fallon brought up the Knicks meme before gifting her a signed jersey from Knicks savior OG Anunoby. Hathaway is also known for her crazy fandom for Anunoby.

“Are you serious? Oh my god!” exclaimed Hathaway before wearing the jersey. The Knicks also sent Hathaway a basket of gifts for her baby. Later, in the show, Fallon and Hathaway played a game called “Best Thing Ever,” where Hathaway was forced to choose between two of her cherished things. Midway through the game, Fallon asked whether she would choose another Oscar win or see the Knicks win another championship. After giving it a lot of thought, Hathaway finally chose the Knicks winning another title. Hathaway is currently a frontrunner for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Odyssey.
