The No. 6 Alabama Crimson Tide go into Week 6 with a 5-0 record as they prepare to take on the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs. Going into the highly anticipated matchup, Kalen DeBoer reveals the program may get a nice boost to the offensive line for what might be the biggest game of the year.
DeBoer informed media members on Monday that the Crimson Tide is “optimistic” that Jayvin James will return from his left leg/foot injury he sustained in the 49-18 Week 4 win over the South Carolina Gamecocks, according to Charlie Potter of BamaOnline, an affiliate of On3 Sports.
“We're optimistic that [James] could return this week,” DeBoer said.
Article Continues BelowAlabama was without the redshirt senior in the 56-23 Week 5 win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs. His presence appeared to be missed, as quarterback Keelon Russell was sacked four times during that contest. With the Crimson Tide going up against a competitive Georgia team, the offense will want to be at its best on Saturday.
