Perhaps feeling the heat, Tennessee Titans QB Cam Ward threatened to walk out of a press conference. But at least he helped rookie Carnell Tate have a big day. And Ward has Robert Saleh on his side. He called out biased Ward haters despite the criticism getting louder, according to a post on X by Ari Meirov.
“We have the utmost confidence in Cam,” said Saleh, the Titans' head coach. “The kid’s gonna be a damn good quarterback. Everyone just needs to take a deep breath and let him grow. If you can’t objectively watch the tape and look at him from Week 1 last year to Week 1 this year to Week 4 yesterday and not see improvement, then you’re just being biased to your own opinion.”
Ward completed 20 of 31 passes for 222 yards with a touchdown and an interception in the 24-18 loss to the Ravens on Sunday. For the season, Ward has thrown for a modest 726 yards with three touchdowns and two picks.

Saleh said the perception is wrong about the way the team is handling the game plan for Ward.

“A lot of checks were made. He was working the line of scrimmage. He was putting us in the right calls. So there was a lot of football put on Cam Ward during the course of the game. Lack of trust is the last thing that went into our original game plan.”
Ward took responsibility for the interception against the Ravens, according to atozsports.com.
“I just think I can make it easier for (Tony Pollard),” Ward said. “Me and Tony, we’ve hit on that play a lot of times last year. But you know, I know for him, he wants that play back. I want it back. But I think, you know, if I can, you know, put in his chest a little bit more and make it easier for him.”
