Arsenal are not going to bottle the Premier League title – they have the greatest squad in English football history
Don’t worry Arsenal – the Premier League title is yours this season.
That’s the message that Ally McCoist has sent to the Gunners squad he believes are the best to have ever graced English football.

Arsenal have been standout performers this season, although recent form suggests they won’t be running away with the title.
Mikel Arteta‘s side have won only two of their last six league fixtures, with a 1-1 draw at Brentford on Thursday night pegging them back.
A win would have sent them six points clear of Manchester City, who remain in the race thanks to a big 2-1 win at Liverpool.
Previous seasons have seen Arsenal look comfortable for much of the season but fall away in the final weeks to finish second.
However, talkSPORT’s McCoist can’t see anything but red ribbons on the Premier League trophy in May.
When asked on the Breakfast show if Arsenal are going to blow their title chances, he said: “No, I don’t think they will.
“I mean, City, a couple of great results, particularly the one at Anfield. But I’m not sure City are playing that well.
“It was a brilliant result against Liverpool, of course it was but if you look at it, I actually think Liverpool played as well as they’ve played in a long time in the second half.
“The important thing, as we all know, is the three points and you’re right, City got them. I still think Arsenal will be okay.
“In the grand scheme of things, is a draw at Brentford, who are absolutely flying at the moment, a bad result? Not really.”

Do Arsenal have the best squad ever?
The Premier League has been lucky to witness a plethora of football talent since its inception in 1992.
Title winners have often had stacked squads that allow some of the best in the business to rotate and make an impact off the bench.
Manchester United boast two of the greatest teams from their 1999 and 2008 successes, and City dominated from 2021 to 2024.
However, McCoist has claimed that the 2025/26 Arsenal squad are the best of the lot.
Arteta was able to bring stars such as Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Martinelli on as substitutes against Brentford.
They were also without William Saliba, Kai Havertz and Mikel Merino, three players who could have made a difference too if match fit.

“I think they’ve got the depth [that] if they get injuries to key players, that the subs coming on are better than the players on the pitch,” said Dean Saunders.
McCoist replied: “I’ve gone on record saying it might just be the best squad I’ve ever seen in English football.
“I’m not necessarily saying it’s the greatest team, that’s obviously up for debate, but in terms of the 22 that they’ve got, can you ever remember a stronger squad anywhere?”
Who’s next for Arsenal?
An FA Cup fourth round clash at home to Wigan Athletic on Sunday, live on talkSPORT, sees Arsenal take a break from the Premier League.
However, they will return three days later with a visit to rock-bottom side Wolves before the north London derby at Tottenham Hotspur.
Arsenal face Chelsea on March 1, and then meet title rivals City in the Carabao Cup final at the end of the month.
