Angry Ginge tells Man United to raid Premier League rivals for Bruno Fernandes heir
Manchester United have been urged to sign Cole Palmer whatever the cost.
That’s the view of United fan and YouTuber Angry Ginge, who spoke to talkSPORT at the launch of Soccer Aid where he will once again play for England against a World XI.

Chelsea star Palmer has been linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent weeks amid rumblings that he is not settled in London.
Added to the fact he’s a boyhood Man United fan has led to transfer links back to his native Manchester where he began his career in City’s academy before Chelsea signed him for £42m in 2023.
Chelsea would be reluctant to cash in on a man who, on his day, is their best player.
The 23-year-old has been tipped as a long-term replacement for Bruno Fernandes, who himself has been linked with a United exit.
Angry Ginge told talkSPORT: “I would love Cole Palmer at Manchester United. I don’t know how much he’s going to cost but I’d sign it tomorrow. Get him at United.
“He’s an incredible player. He’s a good personality. I think Bruno’s 31 now. I think he’s the heir to the throne.”
On Bruno Fernandes he added: “Any fan that thinks Bruno’s not a good captain is not screwed on to what a captain should be.
“He’s an extremely passionate captain. A captain brings your team up when you’re down and he’s been the best player for the past five years.
“So he is 100 per cent captain material. I think he’s a great captain. I think he’s an unbelievable player. I think he’s the best midfielder in the Premier League if not the world.”
Fernandes is having one of his best seasons in a United shirt, grabbing seven goals and 13 assists in the Premier League.

talkSPORT understands that United are hopeful Fernandes will stay for at least one more season.
The Portugal international has been subject to transfer offers from the Saudi Pro League.
He also gave a bombshell interview last year where he claimed the club tried to offload him in the summer.
Fernandes does also have a release clause of £57m for European clubs this summer.
talkSPORT verdict
Speaking on talkSPORT’s Inside Devils YouTube show, the panel underlined just how important Fernandes is to the current team.
United fan Angelina Kelly said: “I said last month that he should be the PFA Player of the Season because I think that he’s absolutely fantastic. He is one of the best players in the Premier League, if not the best, in my opinion.

“The amount of chances that he’s creating, the work that he’s doing, and I think, in terms of attacking players that create and score goals in the final third, there’s nobody close to what Bruno can do.”
Manager Michael Carrick has fired United up to third in the Premier League and they look sure to get Champions League football for next season.
talkSPORT’s chief football correspondent Alex Crook said: “I think us on this podcast have always appreciated the qualities of Bruno Fernandes.
“He’s been surrounded for much of his Manchester United career by players who simply aren’t on his level, to be honest.
“But you add Matheus Cunha, you have Bryan Mbeumo, you have Benjamin Sesko now, who’s starting to really look the part.

“I know privately, as I mentioned last week, Michael Carrick believes he can be one of the top strikers in the division, if not in Europe.
“You really are seeing the qualities of Bruno Fernandes. His numbers are as good as ever and, even when United were underperforming last season, I don’t remember a patch where we were sort of talking about Bruno’s poor form because he always turns up. He always delivers and he has to stay.
“The vibe I’m getting actually is that the Manchester United hierarchy are confident he will decide to stay.
“He’s got that release clause in his contract that can be activated by European clubs, which is a concern.
“But I think they realise just how pivotal he is to any future success.
“I genuinely think with him in the team next season, if they can get the couple of reinforcements they want, obviously Casemiro is going to move on, Ugarte will as well. “Maybe getting a left back as cover for Luke Shaw and another central defender, as well as bolstering that midfield.
“I don’t think United are a million miles away from having a really good season next year.”
