Angels star Mike Trout hilariously roasts former All-Star

The Los Angeles Angels and New York Yankees faced off in a wild affair on Monday. The game between the Yankees and Angels featured three players who hit multiple home runs. One of those was superstar Mike Trout.

Before his two-home run outburst, Trout took a moment to roast a former All-Star and former Yankee, speaking to Jack Curry of YES Network.

“I always give him crap because he was the second-best player to come out of New Jersey,” Trout said of Todd Fraizer.

Fraizer, who played for the Yankees in 2017, is from Point Pleasant, New Jersey. He was a two-time All-Star, starting his career with the Cincinnati Reds in 2011. He would then spend time with the Chicago White Sox, Yankees, New York Mets, Texas Rangers, and Pittsburgh Pirates before his MLB career ended following the 2021 season.

Trout, from Vineland, New Jersey, never played with Fraizer, as he has spent his entire career with the Angels. Both players made their debut in the 2011 season, although Fraizer did so earlier in the season. After roasting his fellow New Jerseyan, Trout went on to praise.

“I loved watching him play. When I got drafted, he was a little bit older, but to be able to come from Jersey, to pull for each other, have some good bondage and friendship,” Trout continues. “He is always coming up with big hits.”

Trout has maintained his connections to his hometown area. Vineland is part of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. Trout has continued to support the Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Flyers, and the Philadelphia 76ers in the other professional leagues. Part of his connection to home is his relationship with Fraizer, who apparently is just the second-best player from New Jersey.
