Angel Reese’s NBA player boyfriend squares up to opponent sparking wild on-court melee and ejection

Wendell Carter Jr. got into an altercation with fellow big man Andre Drummond in the Orlando Magic’s 144-103 thumping of the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday.

Carter, the boyfriend of WNBA superstar Angel Reese, squared up with Drummond, which led to pushing and shoving and a fracas involving several players from both teams.

Late in the first half of the NBA Cup contest, Drummond was guarding Carter, which led to the pair getting tangled up.

Carter smacked Drummond’s hand away, which led to the 76ers center squaring up to him with both fists raised.

The Magic forward was having none of it through as he shrugged his shoulders and waited for Drummond to do something.

Seconds later, both sets of players and coaching staff were between the pair, and their skirmish was over.

However, out of nowhere, Magic guard Jalen Suggs sprinted in and shoved Drummond, which escalated the situation and brought even more players and coaches onto the court.

After a lengthy review, Suggs picked up two technical fouls and was ejected from the game.

Carter and Drummond also picked up a double technical.

Sugg’s ejection, which came with 27 seconds left of the first half, had little bearing on the game.

The Magic went on to win the game and they improved their record to 3-0 in the NBA Cup, while the 76ers dropped to 0-3.

Tyrese Maxey scored 20 points as he continues to lead Philadelphia without stars like Joel Embiid, Paul George and rookie VJ Edgecombe.

Embiid has missed eight games in a row as he tries to manage an injury to his right knee.

The Magic were also without their star Paolo Banchero, who has missed seven consecutive contests with a left groin strain.

Carter made headlines last week after hard launching his relationship with WNBA star Reese

The 26-year-old confirmed his relationship with Reese in an appearance on FanDuel’s “Run It Back'” podcast.

“That’s my girl, though. We locked in for sure,” he said when pressed on whether the pair were a couple.

Reese has been dropping hints about her relationship with Carter for months now.

Earlier this month, she shared a post of her wearing an Orlando Magic cap. She has also been in attendance at Magic games cheering on Carter.
