Andy Robertson ready to ‘draw a line’ under Liverpool and thrust into new challenge
Andy Robertson is ready to move on after his emotional Liverpool farewell.
The left-back made his final appearance for the club against Brentford on Sunday following nine years at Anfield.

Robertson will leave the Reds when his contract expires at the end of June.
His exit follows 378 appearances for Liverpool, with the Scotland captain lifting nine trophies during his time with the club.
Those include two Premier League titles, the Champions League, and the Club World Cup.
He joins Mohamed Salah and Ibrahima Konate in leaving Anfield this summer, with the latter failing to agree a new deal.
Emotional exit
After saying goodbye to the Reds’ supporters on the final day of the season, Robertson joined the talkSPORT Breakfast show on Friday.
Speaking to Ally McCoist and TNT Sports’ Laura Woods, who returned to talkSPORT for a one-time only show, he was asked about the emotions of leaving Liverpool.
Robertson explained: “It’s been a difficult couple of weeks, but I also try to enjoy every minute of it.
“I think people are fed up of seeing my face and seeing interviews of me doing farewell stuff, so I’m glad this one’s radio.
“It’s been an incredible nine-year journey. The farewell on Sunday was really emotional for me and my family.
“I suppose now my full focus is on Scotland, what life as a footballer is like and you just kind of move on and now you’ve got a massive tournament coming up with your country.

“We’ve got a game tomorrow to prepare for that and you just kind of have to move on with the times.”
Scotland face Curacao at Hampden Park on Saturday in their final home fixture before this summer’s World Cup.
Steve Clarke’s side will take on Haiti, Morocco, and Brazil in North America next month.
Meanwhile, Robertson could still return to Anfield in the future with his next club.
The 32-year-old admits it is time for both himself and the club to draw a line under their time together, though.
He added: “My future will kind of take care of itself. I think, obviously, this week has been an emotional week, but it’s important that now I kind of draw a line under Liverpool and, probably more importantly, Liverpool draw a line under me.

“I think I won’t be getting posted on their Instagram and that anywhere near as much as I have been this week, that’s for sure.
“I know I’ve got a massive summer coming up. I’ve got a massive World Cup coming up and that’s my full focus on Scotland, my future will take care of itself.
“I don’t go into anything half-hearted; I go into everything with absolute 100 per cent, and that’s not going to change my career, and wherever that will be, we’ll be sorted.”
Although he did not reveal where he is going next, talkSPORT understands Robertson has agreed to join Tottenham Hotspur.
After a January move to the club broke down, he is now set to sign on a free transfer once his Liverpool deal expires.
Spurs have secured Robertson’s services despite a late attempt from Juventus to hijack the move.
He is expected to be joined in north London next season by Marcos Senesi.
The Bournemouth defender has formally agreed terms on a four-year deal with Spurs.
