‘A complete embarrassment’ – Carl Froch offers John Fury a fight after X-rated outburst at press conference
Carl Froch has told John Fury to stop ’embarrassing’ himself after a viral rant at Tyson Fury’s press conference on Monday.
Fury Sr prompted chaos at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where ‘The Gypsy King’ was present ahead of his return fight against Arslanbek Makhmudov on April 11.

Just as he arrived, the 60-year-old lost his marbles and went after Froch, calling the former unified super-middleweight world champion a ‘b****.’
The pair have history as Froch has previously criticised Fury Sr for his involvement in his son’s legendary boxing career.
talkSPORT’s Simon Jordan slammed Fury Sr for making himself the centre of attention, calling him ‘fragile’ while labelling the outburst a ‘carnival of horrors.’
In his first response to the viral rant from Fury Sr, Froch explained his feelings on the matter.
Carl Froch open to Misfits Boxing clash with John Fury
“I’m stood there about to go live on air and I’m thinking, ‘Oh please go away, pipe down and leave us alone because you’re not going to do anything,’ Froch said on his YouTube channel.
“You’d been downstairs, you knew exactly where I was, I didn’t run anywhere, run like a b**** he said. I didn’t run; I have nowhere to run.
“He knew exactly where I was, he didn’t come anywhere near me, he just talked a good’un.”
Fury Sr had stormed into the press conference room, claiming Froch had plenty to say about him and wanted to fight him there and then.
Well, Froch would be more than happy to have it out with his fellow Brit, adding that KSI‘s Misfits Boxing would be a great place to stage a fight.
“Empty vessels make the most noise,” Froch continued.

“He’s got no intentions of having a fight. If he wants to have a fight, let’s put it like that here now.
“Have a word with Mams Taylor [Misfits Boxing co-president], let’s get on Misfits because that’s what it is.
“It’s a f****** Misfits, isn’t it? That’s what this is. Big John Fury, the fighting man. Put some respect on your name, put some respect on your own name.
“Grow a set of knackers. You said you’re afraid of no man but God. Me and you can do it. We can do it.
“And I’ll be honest, I’ll take my time with you. I’ll pepper you with a couple of jabs, I’ll eat you with a couple of right hands to the body and when you fall on the floor, I’ll help you up because that’s what will happen.
“It’ll be embarrassing. You’ll just embarrass yourself there and you’ll embarrass yourself again.

“You need to stop doing it. Tyson Fury doesn’t need you and your big gobs***e mouth running around shouting and swearing and being a f****** idiot in public.
“It is a complete embarrassment. Please stop it unless you’re going to do something about it.”
Adam Smith reacts to Fury Sr on talkSPORT
Legendary broadcaster Adam Smith had his say on the situation when speaking to Andy Goldstein and Darren Bent on talkSPORT’s Drive show on Tuesday.
“It’s the circus that’s come into town, and John is actually a very knowledgeable guy,” Smith responded when asked how the boxing world reacts to an outburst like Fury Sr’s.
“Like Carl, you sit down and chat to him about boxing for hours, but John Fury wants to make entertainment.
“And look, if Carl says what he says, it can be controversial. My friend Carl Froch, he can say what he says on his channel. He’ll be very blunt.
“If John takes umbrage at that, then he’ll come and have a go back.
“He doesn’t care where it is, when it is. But if there are cameras on it, all the better…
“Carl Froch is a fighter to the core. So is John Fury. Listen, it’s fun.
“It’s banter. It’s entertainment. Carl said to me afterwards, ‘Hey, it’s all good fun, isn’t it?’”
Fury Sr’s foul-mouthed tirade at Froch was all he needed to say, as he left the stage seconds into his son’s press conference.
During the press conference, Fury cited Anthony Joshua‘s involvement in a tragic car crash as inspiration for ending his retirement and making a return to boxing.
