2025 Jordan Love stat should have fans hyped for 2026 season

The Green Bay Packers are leaning heavily on Jordan Love, who will have to make do with the receivers he has on the roster. But Love has some chops, and his 2025 stat should have fans hyped for the 2026 season.

Love took care of the football last year, according to a post on X by Mina Kimes.

“Fun fact: Jordan Love had the fifth-lowest interception rate of any full-time starter last season.”

Kimes said she was puzzled by his omission from the list, which was compiled by ESPN’s collection of scouts, coaches, and executives.

“It’s really hard to find a meaningful quarterback metric where he doesn’t rank top five,” Kimes said. “Something that was brought up a lot with him as a criticism is taking care of the football. He had a lower interception rate than eight of the top 10 quarterbacks on this list. I don’t think that perception matches reality.”

Love connected on 291 of 439 passes for 66.3%. He tossed 23 touchdown passes with only six interceptions.

Kimes said Love has a lot of athletic tools at his disposal.

“What I see on tape (is) an aggressive, talented thrower of the football who can make every throw, all parts of the field,” Kimes said. “He just looks like a top-10 quarterback to me. The kind that lifts up everyone around him.”

Love also has support from his teammates. Included in that mix is star edge rusher Micah Parsons, according to his post on X when talking about Love being ranked as the No. 72 player in the league.

“71 players in the NFL aren’t better than Jordan Love!” Parsons said.

Josh Allen ranked No. 1 on the list. He was followed by Patrick Mahomes, Matthew Stafford, Joe Burrow, and Lamar Jackson. Rounding out the top 10 were Dak Prescott, Justin Herbert, Drake Maye, Jared Goff, and Caleb Williams.

Earning honorable mention were Sam Darnold, Jayden Daniels, Love, Brock Purdy, Baker Mayfield, and Jalen Hurts. Also, Bo Nix, Daniel Jones, and CJ Stroud received votes.
