Xavi Simons performing better than £60m Premier League ace who snubbed Tottenham
Xavi Simons has been playing better than Eberechi Eze and the Arsenal star hasn’t done ‘anywhere near enough’ this season.
That’s according to ex-Tottenham midfielder and fan Jamie O’Hara, who believes Simons is performing to a higher level.

The Dutchman starred in Spurs’ impressive comeback to draw 2-2 with Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
He assisted Dominic Solanke‘s first goal of the game, which kick-started the revival and reignited hope in the stadium.
Meanwhile, a day earlier, Eze, who snubbed a move to Thomas Frank’s side to join their north London rivals Arsenal in the summer instead, played just nine minutes off the bench in a 4-0 win over Leeds.
It was a weekend that appeared to sum up the pair’s campaigns so far at their new clubs following their big-money transfers.
And O’Hara believes that Simons is currently above Eze in terms of talent and value for money this season.
“Xavi Simons is looking good,” the ex-Spurs star said on talkSPORT. “Listen, we signed him because we didn’t get Eze, right?
“Simons is performing better than Eze.”
He continued: “If you’re arguing about spending £60million on a player, Eze has been poor this season for Arsenal.
“He hasn’t done anywhere near enough.
“Xavi Simons has actually been performing better than him.”

Simons vs Eze
When it comes to their numbers, the Premier League stars can hardly be separated throughout the campaign.
Simons has played 31 games for Tottenham and scored two goals, providing five assists across three competitions.
He’s netted once in the top-flight and once in the Champions League, with four of his assists coming domestically.
As for Eze, the England international has scored five goals and provided four assists in 31 appearances for Arsenal.
The Gunners midfielder has scored four in the Premier League and has more goal contributions in total for his new club than Simons.
He’s also managed to do so in 200 fewer minutes, after struggling for gametime under Mikel Arteta in recent weeks.

‘Xavi was exceptional’
Speaking after Tottenham’s 2-2 draw with Man City on Sunday, manager Frank piled praise on his Dutch midfielder.
The Dane said: “I think Xavi was exceptional today. He’s a very good footballer. But he’s probably an even bigger winner and fighter.
“So the way he fights with the team is exceptional. And how he’s part of driving the team forward, I think, is very impressive.”
Simons will next be in action for Spurs against in-form Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.
talkSPORT will have exclusive live coverage of the game, with commentary from Sam Matterface and Stuart Pearce.
