World Cup 2026 Bet Builder Tips — Friday 19 June | Best Picks & Predictions

Friday night’s World Cup action sees Scotland play their second match of the tournament as they take on Morocco in Boston, before Brazil return to action with a match against Haiti in Philadelphia.

Last Saturday night saw Scotland record their first win at a World Cup since 1990, leaving them sitting pretty at the top of the group following Brazil’s 1-1 draw against Morocco in New York in the opening match in Group C.

Morocco to win, Brahim Diaz to score and Lewis Ferguson to be carded

Saturday’s win over Haiti will live long in the memory of Scottish fans, their 1-0 victory giving them their first World Cup win since 1990 in their first World Cup match since 1998.

Steve Clarke’s side didn’t hugely impress against a Haiti side playing their own first match at the tournament since 1974, with less possession, fewer shots and fewer corners and only 0.01 more xG, so will need to up their game against strong opposition like Morocco on Friday.

Morocco managed to hold off record five-time champions Brazil to a 1-1 draw, in a match where the reigning African champions were arguably the better team on the night, which also saw them extend their unbeaten run to 30 matches in all competitions.

Brahim Diaz has quickly become a fan favourite for Morocco since making his debut for his new country back in March 2024, three years after playing for Spain in a friendly against Lithuania in a pre Euro 2021 warm up match.

The Real Madrid playmaker has 17 goal contributions in 27 caps for the African champions, and played a huge role in Morocco’s run to winning the Africa Cup of Nations in January this year, scoring five goals en route to winning the Golden Boot.

Diaz put in a strong performance in the Atlas Lions’ draw with Brazil, providing the assist for Morocco’s goal and also scored their only goal in their friendly draw with Norway prior to the World Cup’s start.

Scotland midfielder Lewis Ferguson put in a strong and combative performance against Haiti, playing all 90 minutes and can be expected to start once again in Boston on Friday night.

The Bologna central midfielder has received more yellow cards than any other player for Scotland since the start of last season, and could be in for a tough match against the African champions this weekend.

Brazil to win to nil, Vinicius Junior to score, Danley Jean Jacques to be carded

Brazil, the most successful team in the history of the World Cup, will be desperately disappointed by their not being able to win their opening match of the 2026 tournament after being held to a 1-1 draw by Morocco in New York last Saturday night.

Carlo Ancelotti and his side will be determined to right the wrongs of last weekend with dominant performance against Haiti in the early hours of Saturday morning, in what should be their easiest match of the group stage.

Haiti, playing their first World Cup match since 1974 last week, played well despite their 1-0 defeat to Scotland, but trickier tests will come in their remaining group stage matches against record World Cup winners Brazil and reigning African champions Morocco.

The Central American side have now won only one of their last five matches since qualifying for this summer’s tournament, and victory against Brazil on Friday night would be something of a miracle.

No player has scored more goals for Brazil since the start of qualifying for this summer’s World Cup than Vinicius Junior, who also bagged 22 goals in all competitions for Real Madrid this season.

Much has been made of the winger’s inferior goalscoring record for country than club, but Vinicius has now scored in two goals in his last three appearances for Brazil after netting the equaliser in last week’s World Cup opener.

No player has been on the receiving end of more cards for Haiti over the last couple of years than their starting central midfielder Danley Jean Jacques.

The Haitian, who, as a Philadelphia Union player, will be playing in his home city on Friday night, has received five yellow cards and one red in his last 11 caps, and was also penalised on three occasions against Scotland for fouls, arguably lucky not to be booked on that occasion too.
