Wolves vs Arsenal predictions and betting tips – Gunners to extend lead at the top?
Arsenal travel to bottom side Wolves in the Premier League on Wednesday night, hoping to extend their lead to seven points over second-placed Manchester City.
After last week’s draw with Brentford, Mikel Arteta’s men have the opportunity to make a real statement that they’re here to stay as the title run in gets serious. But can Wolves throw a spanner in the works?

Wolves vs Arsenal predictions
Arsenal cantered to a 4-0 victory over League One side Wigan Athletic in their fourth round FA Cup tie on Sunday.
But the big tests start this week, maybe more pyschologically than anything, as they face Wolves on Wednesday followed by Tottenham in the north London derby on Sunday.
The Gunners may revert to their more recognised XI, after heavy rotation in the cup. A decision will have to be made on starting Bukayo Saka, with Noni Madueke excelling in recent weeks.
Arteta will also have a decision to make in the number 10 role, with both Eberechi Eze and captain Martin Odegaard now available. He will want both up to speed and champing at the bit ahead of Sunday’s derby too.
Wolves did give the Gunners an almighty scare in the reverse fixture back in December. It took Arsenal 70 minutes to break down the stubborn backline. When goalkeeper Sam Johnstone punched into his own net.
Tolu Arokodare looked to have salvaged a point when he netted in the 90th minute. Only for team-mate Yerson Mosquera to head past Johnstone in the 94th minute.
Mateus Mane has been a regular in attack for Wolves, slowly making his mark. He isn’t scared to have a shot and did assist their goal in that match at the Emirates stadium.
Despite this, Arsenal should have enough to get another valuable three points, but they may need to be patient.
Wolves vs Arsenal betting tips
Arsenal’s quest for a first league title in 22 years meets a big week ahead, starting with Wolves at Molineux on Wednesday night.
Set pieces crucial again
Arsenal’s penchant for a set piece goal could prove vital again if Wolves are proving a tough nut to crack in the first half.
It was a Martin Zubimendi header that broke the deadlock against Leeds, which opened the floodgates to a 4-0 away win.
The headed goal has been a redeeming feature of Arsenal’s attacking play this season, with defender Gabriel Magalhaes often the beneficiary.
It will also be interesting to keep an eye on who’s selected in the full back positions, with both Jurrien Timber (2) and Riccardo Calafiori (1) netting from corners this season.
Wolves could also cause issues from crossing opportunities. This could prove fruitful again with both Arokodare and Mane looking a genuine threat.
Arsenal are heavy favourites to collect all three points. But like, last week against Brentford, the draw at 9/2 may come into play again.
