The ever-popular WM Phoenix Open will take place on the PGA Tour this week with Scottie Scheffler headlining an all-star field.

The TPC Scottsdale event is world famous for its raucous atmosphere and the iconic Coliseum hole – the 20,000-seater stadium-style 16th.

Thomas Detry won this tournament last year with a brilliant score of 24-under-par while Scheffler is a two-time winner.

Brooks Koepka has also claimed glory in Phoenix twice before and makes his return this week following his recent highly-publicised PGA Tour comeback.

It is also Super Bowl week, meaning the WM will serve as the perfect supplement to the NFL action to come in California after Sunday’s final round.

WM Phoenix Open 2026: What has been said?

Scheffler won first PGA Tour event of the year, claiming The American Express at La Quinta recently.

In doing so he joined Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods as the only players to have 20 PGA Tour titles and four majors before turning 30.

He said: “That’s pretty wild. It’s been a great start to my career. It’s been special.

“I try not to think about that stuff too much. I was just trying to do the things I needed to do to be prepared.

“There’s always a certain amount of rust when it comes to playing competitive golf.

“You can simulate as best you can at home, but you can only get into the heat of the moment when you’re posting a score and you’re in contention when you’re at a tournament.

“So it’s nice to see some of the stuff that I’ve been being practicing and working on has paid off.”
