Watch Rockets’ Alperen Sengun posterize 2 players with mean spin move

Houston Rockets star Alperen Sengun was a man on a mission all Monday night long. He torched the Memphis Grizzlies defense to the tune of 33 points in a 108-99 victory to move them to 28-16 on the season, and he did so with such loud buckets that they surely demoralized the Grizzlies, crushing their hopes one possession at a time.

There may not have been a louder Sengun bucket than the one he had in the fourth quarter with a little over six minutes to go in the period. With the Grizzlies going small, the Rockets star had Santi Aldama as his primary defender. Sengun then proceeded to leave Aldama in the dust with a power dribble into a spin move going to his right, and he proceeded to throw down a nasty tomahawk slam over two defenders — with GG Jackson being late in his attempt to block the dunk.

Sengun had a few thunderous dunks on the night, and another one came earlier in the game in transition. The Rockets star was so locked in that he only missed two shots on the night even though he recorded a monster 33-point night.

This version of Sengun is what makes the Rockets such a frightening team to face, as when he gets it going the way he did on Monday, he becomes ridiculously difficult to stop.

Rockets’ Kevin Durant seals the deal

While it was Sengun that dominated the start of the fourth for the Rockets, this only proved to be a setup for Kevin Durant to finish the job. He drilled two consecutive triples towards the end of the contest to keep the Grizzlies at bay, and this is surely going to be the one-two punch the Rockets lean on as they look to make it deep into the playoffs.

Durant matched Sengun band for band, as he also recorded 33 points of his own.
