Valspar Championship golf betting tips:
The PGA Tour’s Florida Swing concludes this week at Innisbrook Resort’s Copperhead Course, which hosts the 25th edition of the Valspar Championship.
While there have been more prestigious – and more lucrative – events over the last few weeks, the Valspar has attracted a high-class field featuring two-time Major hero Xander Schauffele, defending champion Viktor Hovland and last week’s Players Championship runner-up Matt Fitzpatrick.
The Copperhead Course, a 7,340-yard par-71 Palm Harbor layout, has been the long-term venue for this tournament and typically provides a tough test including the three-hole closing stretch known as the Snake Pit.
Length off the tee is not a serious advantage at this week’s venue. Churning out greens in regulation, allied with a sharp putter, tends to hold the key at Copperhead.

Valspar Championship Tips
- Jacob Bridgeman to win & each-way @ 20/1
- Brooks Koepka to win & each-way @ 25/1
- Austin Smotherman to win & each-way @ 45/1
Bridgeman can prove he’s one of the PGA Tour’s elite
Jacob Bridgeman is priced up as one of the favourites at Copperhead this week and, on the balance of this year’s performances, that short price looks fully justified.
Bridgeman, who leads the PGA Tour in total strokes gained, has been doing just about everything well this year and that has resulted in seven top-20 finishes from as many starts, including victory at the Genesis Invitational and fifth place at the Players Championship on Sunday.
The 26-year-old is both long off the tee and statistically the best putter on the PGA Tour, and he’s also an above-average iron player.
After missing the cut on his Valspar debut in 2024, Bridgeman held the solo 36-hole lead in last year’s event, before eventually finishing third behind Viktor Hovland.
The betting suggests he is a fully fledged member of the Tour’s elite, and he can prove it by earning a second win of the season on Sunday.
Improving Koepka looks ready to win again
Brooks Koepka’s much-publicised return to the PGA Tour started slowly but the Floridian is starting to readjust to life on the circuit, finishing ninth at the Cognizant Classic and 13th at Sawgrass in his last two starts.
Koepka was always likely to find his feet back in his home state, and while he’ll soon turn his attention to the Majors, he could do so as a winner of the Valspar.
The five-time Major winner has made just one Copperhead start over the last decade, finishing 12th in 2022, and only two players rank higher for strokes-gained approach on the PGA Tour this season.
Approach play points to Smotherman
One of the men who is outperforming Koepka with his irons this season is Austin Smotherman, who is statistically the best iron-player on the US circuit this year.
Two wins on the Korn Ferry Tour last year earned him a return to the PGA Tour, and Smotherman has had a productive start to the 2026 campaign, finishing eighth at the American Express, a runner-up at the Cognizant Classic and 13th at the Players last weekend.
He is playing better than ever and will be encouraged by finishing 25th and 36th in two previous trips to Copperhead.
