Two Brentford players ‘left bloodied’ after intervening in alleged assault to rescue man
Two Brentford players have reportedly been left bloodied after intervening in an alleged assault on Sunday morning.
The two Bees stars, who will remain anonymous, rushed to help a man in south-west London as they were travelling home.

According to the Telegraph, they were heading back after Brentford‘s 0-0 draw with Leeds when they saw the attack happening.
The assault is said to have been allegedly racially motivated and took place at around 2am on Sunday morning.
And the footballers helped to calm the situation down before police arrived, with neither suffering any injuries.
However, a witness did say that they were left bloodied by the incident that occurred in Richmond.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police attended a report of an assault on Queen’s Road, Richmond at around 02:00hrs on Sunday, 22 March. Officers engaged with the victim.
“The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time.”
The Brentford players were permitted to make their own way back home after the fixture against Leeds at Elland Road.
That is due to the fact that this was the Bees’ last game before the international break.
Some of the club’s players, including the two involved in the incident, were allowed to make separate travel arrangements as they will be travelling to play for their countries in the coming days.
Brentford drew 0-0 against Leeds on Saturday evening to continue their push for European football this season.

Keith Andrews’ side are currently sitting seventh in the Premier League table after a remarkable campaign.
The Bees are only three points off the top five after 31 games, challenging for Europe alongside giants.
They sit just two points behind Chelsea and three behind Liverpool as they hope to book a spot in one of UEFA’s competitions.
Brentford’s first game after the international break will be a huge clash against Everton at the Gtech Community Stadium.
The two teams are level on points and are both direct rivals when it comes to the battle for Europe this season.
They will then also take on Fulham and Manchester United in April.
