Tuesday horse racing tips

Pontefract

• 14:18 – Kinetic Impact 9/4 (1pt)
• 14:48 – Arisaig 11/4 (1pt)
• 15:18 – Garfield Shadow 3/1 (1pt)

Uttoxeter

• 14:00 – Ice Jet 10/11 (1pt)

Kinetic Impact

Not far behind a couple of decent horses last time out including the odds-on Humphrey who was out on debut at Sandown last month.

To be such a strong favourite suggests he’s got progression coming and that means Kinetic Impact could also be improving.

He finished ahead of Tropbien, who went on to be the odds on favourite next time out and even tipped last week.

Kinetic Impact has started twice over 1m2f signalling he’s really aiming for this trip and potentially beyond if it suits, but this horse trained by Charles Hills who’s in great form has a very strong chance against these other maidens.

Arisaig

This mare has not been quite up to her standard but is dangerous here receiving 3lb from a mare who’s only just got up to her rating on the back of four wins from five.

That actually could play in this Charlie Johnston-trained mare’s hands, considering she was placed narrowly behind in third and second in two of her last five appearances.

Her latest attempt too was a Group 1 so stepping back to listed is advantageous.

Garfield Shadow

Badri has been seen running almost monthly since January 2025 but did come up with two wins in his last three runs but that latest win puts him up close to his highest rating.

Dark Cloud Rising is up to his highest rating after dropping down in weight to a dangerous weight and capitalised with a massive win last time out.

Garfield Shadow is back after an incredible 593 days off, yet still somehow appeals more than the top two in the market with his potential.

Ice Jet

Three wins on the bounce and the Skelton’s are in incredible form this year, he’s bound to keep his winning run going as Ice Jet looks like he’s still capable of more here.
