TreVeyon Henderson injury news: What status means for Week 17 vs. Jets

The New England Patriots travel to face the New York Jets in Week 15, and they will likely have running back TreVeyon Henderson in action after he suffered a concussion last week. Henderson suffered the concussion in the first half against the Baltimore Ravens and left the game after six touches across 14 offensive snaps.

TreVeyon Henderson injury update

Henderson entered the concussion protocol on Sunday and has since progressed his way through it. He was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday and Thursday, but then was upgraded to full participation on Friday. Concussion symptoms can come back out of seemingly nowhere, so this is still a situation to monitor on game. The Patriots and Jets kick off at 1 p.m. ET, which means we’ll find out inactives at 11:30 a.m. He is on track to play, but double-check this article after inactives come out as we’ll update with the relevant information.

Fantasy football analysis

Henderson is a strong start in Week 17 against an atrocious Jets defense. The unit ranks fifth worst in fantasy points allowed against running backs. If he was unexpectedly sidelined, Rhamondre Stevenson would get the start and would also be a solid RB2 option against the Jets.
