Transfer Notebook: Andre Onana and Marcus Rashford get Man United pay rises, Liverpool could hijack Tottenham deal, Jarrod Bowen update
Manchester United players have extra reason to celebrate being back in the Champions League.
Sources have confirmed to talkSPORT that the bulk of Michael Carrick’s squad will net a pay rise of around 25 per cent as reward for finishing in the top five.

Captain Bruno Fernandes will see his wage soar to around £250,000-a-week.
The pay increase comes two years after Old Trafford stars had to take a salary cut for failing to qualify for the Champions League.
Intriguingly it is thought goalkeeper Andre Onana and Marcus Rashford will be among those to benefit from a pay hike despite being out on loan at Trabzonspor and Barcelona respectively.
United plan to sell both Rashford and Onana this summer.
England pair Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo recently signed new deals factoring in the likelihood of United being back in Europe’s top competition.
Liverpool could hijack Spurs transfer
Liverpool are keeping tabs on Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi.
Senesi will leave the Vitality Stadium at the end of the season when his contract expires.
The Argentina international has already verbally agreed to join Tottenham, assuming they avoid relegation to the Championship.
However, Liverpool are believed to be contemplating making a rival offer for the free agent centre-back.
Much could depend on the future of Ibrahima Konate, who is still to sign a new deal at Anfield.

Senesi was signed for Bournemouth by Liverpool’s sporting director Richard Hughes and has played a key part in the Cherries’ rise to sixth place in the Premier League.
Update on Bowen’s West Ham future
Jarrod Bowen is willing to stay at West Ham as long as they beat the drop.
The Hammer are facing a grim fight for Premier League survival following last weekend’s 3-0 defeat at Brentford which, coupled with Tottenham’s victory at Aston Villa, dropped them back into the bottom three.
Fan favourite Bowen is sure to be in high demand if the East Enders are relegated to the Championship.
Liverpool have been credited with an interest in the England ace while Newcastle boss Eddie Howe is known to be a long-time admirer.
Sources have indicated Bowen, married to the daughter of celebrity Hammers fan and actor Danny Dyer, is unlikely to push for a move if they stay in the top-flight.

Fergie keen on Leicester job
Darren Ferguson would be open to becoming Leicester’s new manager, talkSPORT understands.
The Foxes are set to part company with Gary Rowett following their calamitous relegation to the third tier – ten years after winning the Premier League.
Ferguson, son of the legendary Sir Alex, has been mooted as a potential replacement for Rowett having won promotion from League One no fewer than three times.
He also guided Peterborough to a shock EFL Trophy final win over big-spending Birmingham last season.
