Tottenham told to instantly sack Igor Tudor after making more unwanted history

Tottenham have lost their huge relegation battle with Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

Spurs were beaten 3-0 by their relegation rivals to make the threat of dropping down to the Championship even worse.

It was a real six-pointer at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as Igor Jesus and Morgan Gibbs-White struck the killer blows.

Gibbs-White scoring is all the more bitter for the north London club, having tried to sign him from Forest this summer.

Fans voted with their feet as that second goal went in after 62 minutes as many were seen heading to the exit.

Tottenham remain the only Premier League side without a win in 2026 (drawing five and losing eight).

Only three sides have had longer winless runs at the start of a calendar year – Sunderland, 17 in 2002-03; Derby, 18 in 2007-08; Middlesbrough, 14 in 2016-17.

Spurs are also winless in their last 13 Premier League games – only once have they ever gone longer in the top flight.

It matches their run between April and November 1912 when they did not win for 13 matches.

It was between December 1934 and April 1935 where they failed to win in 16 attempts.

Their next three games are at Sunderland, home to Brighton, and a trip to Wolves.

Relegation threat

Thankfully for Spurs, West Ham were beaten by Aston Villa on Sunday too.

The Hammers were beaten 2-0 at Villa Park to keep them in the drop zone.

Spurs have slipped down to 17, just one point above West Ham, with seven games to go.

Forest move one place up to 16th – two points clear of the north London club.

Igor Tudor’s future

Tudor now has five defeats in his first seven games in charge of the club.

That includes just one win and one draw – with the victory coming in the Champions League second leg against Atletico Madrid.

The point against Liverpool and win over Atletico has given Tudor a bit more time when it looked like he could have been swiftly axed.

He replaced Thomas Frank until the end of the season in a bid to steer them away from relegation.

Now the Spurs hierarchy have a decision to make going into the international break.
