Tottenham fans warned over inflicting ‘serious financial harm’ with Arsenal hotel plot
A small number of Tottenham Hotspur supporters have been warned over their ‘terrible behaviour’ after Arsenal reached the Champions League final.
The Gunners will face Paris Saint-Germain at the Puskas Arena in Budapest on Saturday, May 30.

Following Arsenal’s win over Atletico Madrid on Tuesday to reach the final, some Spurs fans have been trying to inconvenience their rivals.
Several supporters have claimed on social media to have booked hotels in the Hungarian capital for the day of the final.
They then plan to take advantage of free cancellation offers by getting rid of their reservations on the eve of the match.
In doing so, they hope to prevent Arsenal fans from sourcing accommodation for the Champions League final.
Flights and hotels are already at a premium for Arsenal’s first appearance in the showpiece match for 20 years.
Supporters have been left scrambling to secure travel and accommodation, with the final just three weeks away.
As well as booking hotels in Budapest, one Spurs fan even claimed to have cancelled an Arsenal supporter’s booking.
The Gunners fan had shared a screenshot of their booking to social media, with the reference number still showing.
A rival supporter then responded with an email appearing to show they had cancelled the reservation – in a post which has since gone viral.
Spurs fans criticised
Travel broadcaster Simon Calder has now issued a warning to those Spurs fans taking out their ‘revenge’ on Arsenal supporters.

Speaking to talkSPORT Breakfast on Thursday, he admitted: “This is absolutely terrible behaviour.
“Honestly, I cannot believe that Spurs fans are taking out their revenge on their north London rivals. Well, ok I can, but I think it is absolutely outrageous.
“This is bordering on committing serious financial harm for people, particularly cancelling a really good booking at a really good price, that is just pushing things too far.
“Then making bookings, which you’re then going to cancel, is actually just reckless. It’s going to mess up finances because, of course, this is the best get rich quick scheme in the history of Budapest hotels.
“I’ve just been taking a look, if you want, for example, a bed in a dorm, female only, seven people, that’s going to cost you £300-a-night.
“That’s the absolute rock bottom. Hotels, this has been widely reported, typically looking at £1,000.

“If you want something decent, then probably for a couple of nights and you’re looking at £5,000. So my strong advice is don’t stay in Budapest.”
Tottenham fans have faced similar issues with the costs of attending a European final in recent years.
The Premier League side played Manchester United in last season’s Europa League final in Bilbao.
Meanwhile, supporters also flocked to Spain in 2019 for their Champions League final defeat to Liverpool in Madrid.
