Tony Bellew makes ‘honest’ Deontay Wilder admission after Simon Jordan altercation
Tony Bellew rang up talkSPORT’s GameDay Phone-In to deliver his take on Deontay Wilder’s fiery clash with Simon Jordan.
The former WBC cruiserweight champion claimed the Bronze Bomber is having a public breakdown following the viral bust-up.

Wilder made headline news around the world during his appearance on the talkBOXING podcast on Wednesday alongside Derek Chisora.
The pair joined host Jordan and Spencer Oliver in the talkBOXING studio to preview their clash on April 4 at London’s O2 Arena.
However, the episode came to an abrupt end when Wilder was quizzed on his repeated claims that Tyson Fury cheated during their three-fight rivalry.
The American lost and then failed to reclaim his WBC and lineal heavyweight titles across successive defeats in 2020 and 2021, having also drawn against the Gypsy King in 2018.
Jordan pressed Wilder on said allegations, which led to the 40-year-old becoming increasingly agitated and eventually storming out.
Bellew reacts to Jordan vs Wilder
“I’ve seen clips of it,” Liverpudlian Bellew told talkSPORT’s Jason Cundy and Jamie O’Hara on Saturday’s GameDay Phone-In.
“Do you know what, mate? I’ve got a bit of a different approach on it now. I think the poor lad is having a breakdown in public.
“I’ve seen this happen before with the likes of Oliver McCall. I genuinely worry for him.
“Away from the sport, he’s actually a really nice man.”
Wilder - what he said during confrontation with Jordan
Wilder shouted: “You can say what you want, I know the truth, I know the facts.
“I risk my life for all of your entertainment. Why is it so hard to believe a black man for a white man?
“It does have something to do with colour. You think your life has been like mine, you have white privilege brother, I haven’t had that.
“We have PTSD, it is hard to move on when you don’t know the truth. You don’t get it.
“I’m out of here. The motherf***er cheated, tell him to sue me. I said I didn’t want to bring him up in the first place.”

Bellew continued: “From what I’m being told on all accounts, he asked Simon Jordan before not to bring him up. It’s all about Derek Chisora.
“Now, listen, I get with the crazy claims that he’s making. I get it was always going to come up.
“Simon’s actually an alright fella. I’ve got a lot of time for Simon. I like him. He’s very good at his job.
“I just think he’s poked him at the wrong time there. I feel for him, I really do.
“For Deontay, going through an awful lot, feels like the world’s against him – I feel for him.”
Fury issued a stern reaction to certain of Wilder’s comments, but his fellow Brit, while broadly agreeing, offered a more balanced view.

“I don’t like the claims he’s making if I’m being brutally and totally honest,” Bellew added.
“But it is what it is, mate, you don’t walk in his shoes.
“So when it comes to some of the things he’s saying from a racial perspective, I’ve been to America, mate, and it’s a difficult place for what he’s saying, I’m not gonna lie.”
