The ‘clerical error’ that caused Roman Reigns’ June WWE schedule mixup
Hours after winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WWE WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, Nevada, against CM Punk, Roman Reigns made a firm statement on his schedule. Known for following a part-time schedule and not making regular appearances, Reigns at the WrestleMania 42 Post-Show made it clear that he planned to be with the promotion for the entire summer.
However, shortly after, rumors and reports emerged that Reigns was not advertised for Jun. 2026 shows. “Regarding Roman Reigns being pulled from June TV dates that were announced, the reason we were told is that he’s not going to be on the Saudi Arabia PPV and thus there was no reason to do the TV’s building that show,” a report from Dave Meltzer read.
Now, Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that “The Tribal Chief” originally being promoted for these shows was nothing more than a “clerical error” by WWE/TKO. As of now, there have been no confirmed updates on this, and Reigns is scheduled to appear on every May episode of Monday Night Raw. He is also scheduled to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Jacob Fatu at Backlash on Saturday, May. 9, 2026.
It is also to be noted that Reigns’ schedule is not a case of an issue between Reigns and the company or an issue with the deal he signed in the run-up to WrestleMania 42.
Despite creating magic at WWE WrestleMania 42, Roman Reigns still hates CM Punk
Following his highly acclaimed WWE WrestleMania 42 match against CM Punk, Roman Reigns opened up on social media and gave his flowers to Punk.
“Despite All The S**t You’ve Put Me Through Over The Years, I Can Honestly Say Under Those Bright Lights… We Made Magic. I Still Hate You, But Last Night Will Live Forever [pointing up emoji],” Reigns wrote.
