Tottenham Hotspur vs Newcastle United: Tottenham to win both halves
Tottenham Hotspur are starting to look nervously over their shoulder. A 2-0 loss to Manchester United on Saturday means they are now just six points clear of the relegation zone.
It is hard to envisage Spurs being involved in a genuine basement battle, but it would be a mistake for Thomas Frank to think his side are too good to go down.
Tottenham are in a rotten run of form. With West Ham United improving and Leeds United still aiming higher, a couple more adverse results could leave the north Londoners in real trouble.
This is an important game for Newcastle United too. Champions League qualification is no longer a realistic aim for the Magpies, who need to stop the rot after seven domestic matches without a win.
Eddie Howe’s team have a poor away record, and while Spurs have generally not fared well on home turf, they have at least shown one or two signs of life of late.
Tip Tottenham Hotspur to win both halves at 4/1 with Sky Bet
Brentford vs Arsenal: Both teams to score
With Manchester City likely to beat Fulham on Wednesday, there is a good chance Arsenal’s lead at the top of the Premier League will stand at three points by the time this match kicks off.
Mikel Arteta’s men will be under pressure to respond against Brentford. Make no mistake: this is not a straightforward assignment.
The Bees beat Newcastle United 3-2 at the weekend to remain in the hunt for European football.
Keith Andrews’ side have won four of their last six top-flight contests, while only Arsenal have picked up more points since the middle of December.
Brentford are creating plenty of chances at the moment and we expect them to find the back of the net against Arsenal, who should also score.
Goals at both ends is the way to go at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Crystal Palace vs Burnley: Crystal Palace to win both halves
Oliver Glasner breathed a huge sigh of relief after Crystal Palace’s 1-0 defeat of Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.
That result ended a 12-game winless streak in all competitions for Palace, who are now just a couple of victories away from securing Premier League survival.
The Eagles will be confident of getting one of the wins they need when Burnley visit Selhurst Park in midweek.
The Clarets have struggled to compete at this level and it is a near-certainty that they will be back in the Championship in 2026/27.
Burnley have not won any of their last 16 top-flight games, with their most recent taste of success coming back in October.
Palace should have too much for Scott Parker’s charges as Glasner’s side attempt to climb up the table.
Tip Crystal Palace to win both halves at 11/8 with Sky Bet
Chelsea vs Leeds United: Draw at half-time/Chelsea win full-time
Chelsea are flying right now. A 3-1 triumph over Wolverhampton Wanderers last time out made it four wins in four Premier League matches for Liam Rosenior, who is starting to win the Chelsea fans over.
The Blues have a four-point buffer above sixth-placed Liverpool as they seek Champions League qualification in Rosenior’s first half-season at the helm.
Leeds United are also on the up. They beat Nottingham Forest 3-1 on Friday to maintain a six-point advantage over West Ham United in 18th.
The job is not done yet, but Leeds have given themselves an excellent chance of staying up.
Daniel Farke’s men will be hard to break down in the first half, so Chelsea will have to remain patient. Leeds have gone in level at the interval 11 times this term, and they may do so again here.
Go for a draw/Chelsea at 7/2 with Sky Bet
West Ham United vs Manchester United: 6+ shots on target for each team
Manchester United, like Chelsea, have won four matches on the bounce under a new manager.
Michael Carrick has made an instant impact, guiding United to victories over Manchester City, Arsenal, Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur.
United are up to fourth place in the standings and they are looking ahead of them rather than behind.
Aston Villa in third are now just three points ahead of United, who have a better goal difference than Unai Emery’s men.
This will not be an easy game, though. West Ham have won three of their last four outings, scoring nine goals along the way.
A clean sheet is likely to elude both teams at the London Stadium on Tuesday.
